Organize the project facts and identify relevant provisions using e-Gov legislation and Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

This is a research starting point, not a building confirmation, compliance determination, architectural service, or legal opinion. Verify local ordinances, zoning, effective dates, and authority interpretations with the municipality and qualified professionals.

Problem

How can an assistant expose provisions, effective dates, and missing facts without letting an AI answer be mistaken for a final compliance decision?

Role

Official-source constraints, conversation design, citation UI, safety boundaries, and implementation

Process

  1. Ask for location, use, floor area, storeys, structure, fire zone, and new-build or alteration status
  2. Search only e-Gov legislation and MLIT material, citing relevant provisions, notices, and update information
  3. List local ordinances, zoning, effective dates, and authority interpretations that still require professional confirmation

Outcome

A working five-language prototype now provides official-domain search, source links, and explicit safety boundaries.

Reflection

The assistant should not replace a professional conclusion; its value is finding evidence and missing facts early, then directing the user to the right authority.
